Bieber Lends Support to Organ Donation Registration

According to E! News, Justin Bieber saw a tweet from a fan asking for his support in raising awareness for organ donation.  The fan, Helene Campbell, awaiting a lung transplant herself, knew that he had the potential to reach the masses...  The Biebs quickly sprung into action and tweeted:  ""i got the word....you have amazing strength. i got u.#BeAnOrganDonor."  And then:  "help spread the word for @alungstory http://www.alungstory.ca/ #BeAnOrganDonor" and "and @alungstory NEVER SAY NEVER".

The Trillium Gift of Life Network, based in Ontario, Canada has said since the tweet exchange, they have received an average of 200 online registrations per day, rather than an average of 50 registrations per day prior.  Leave it to the Biebs!

On a similar note, through the month of January, you can register to donate bone marrow free of charge (usually costs $100 to register) to give hope to patients with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, sickle-cell and other life threatening diseases.  Patients especially need you if you are between the ages of 18-44.  I registered...  will you?  http://marrow.org/Join/Join_Now/Join_Now.aspx
